Here's the place to post links to your February reviews!
Every link posted to a February review of a book by an author of color will be considered an entry for a free book from Amazon or Powells (up to $30 including shipping) unless you request otherwise. Gain an extra entry by joining Glue or blogging/tweeting about it (let me know in a comment, including your Glue username if you joined).
If you haven't joined the challenge yet, it's not too late to join. There are many options and levels, the smallest being to read and review one book by an author of color during February. Anyone, challenge member or not, is invited to enter the contest by posting a link to a current review for a book by an author of color.
As promised, we have new music in the sidebar for Black History Month. Thank you for your contributions, Doret, Cassy, Terry, and Susan! I had so much fun putting this together and, forgive my brag, but I think it's an awesome playlist. I started it off with one of my favorite spirituals and tried to keep the music close to chronological order. And can I just tell you, that I had never heard Nina Simone before now? Good lord. I hadn't lived.
Please link directly to your review, and include the title of the book in your Mr. Linky.

Thanks so much for Scott Joplin. Though I know who he thanks to Tananarive Due's Jolpin's Ghost, I've never heard his music. And you have Marian Anderson on here very cool.
What a great playlist. I've got it going in one tab while I work in another. You might also look for Eva Cassidy.
Doret, I debated on Marian Anderson because her musical style is so different--but historically speaking, I decided she had to be on there.
Readingtub, I know I left out a ton of people! I'll check into Eva Cassidy, though.
Just finished reading China Boy by Gus Lee. Excellent! Review is posted at my blog.
I had to delete a link today, so I want to clarify: Mr. Linkies must link to a specific post about the book you read or they'll be deleted. You may also post about the book in the comments here, for an entry.
Thanks for commenting, Cassy, I've been on vacation and hadn't checked for links in a while.
Thanks so much - this is a great challenge. I enjoyed posting about Nikki & Deja: Birthday Blues. I also joined Glue, on your recommendation. Thanks!
Thanks for the comment on my blog reminding me to add my links here. I just put in the last four books I've reviewed, all authors of color. My blog posts get picked up in my Twitter stream too, so does that count for points? LOL I am loving this challenge!
Great, Cloudscome! I'm on my way out the door so I'll be sure to check out your other reviews later today. (If you blog about Glue and Twitter picks that up, let me know--you certainly do get extra points for that!)
Just posted my review of Boycott Blues. Exceptional. The review is up on our blog.
Just posted my review of a Sci Fi book: Golden Fleece by Canadian author Robert J. Sawyer.
I updated my list of books I'm reading in this post today.
Can't explained how excited was when I found this site. Please stop by Color Online and check out newest feature, Shades of Love
Hello! #20-#26 are book reviews written by my first grade students. We have been choosing books for our daily read-aloud, then the student who chose gets to write the review in our blog post that day. It is their first experience with blogging and they have had a great time. They are very much into the literature and love to find out if the author is still alive, where they live, what else they've written, etc. Thanks for inspiring us to appreciate and respect authors from a diverse background. I know we're way too late to qualify for the Feb. drawing, but I'm getting caught up and wanted to add in Franki's Feb. post!
