Ken Mochizuki interview

Wonderful interview with author Ken Mochizuki on Maw Books Blog today, with insightful discussion about his Asian American experience and how it's reflected in his books.

My life’s work will probably involve making the American experiences of those of Asian descent known. This, of course, is especially important for young readers as they are forming perceptions of others. Then maybe they will rely less on stereotypes because they will know of stories they would not have read anywhere else.

I've yet to read any of Mr. Mochizuki's books, but after reading this interview and the reviews of a couple of his books below it, I'm eager to check them out!
